Cross Record - “Basket” Video

When we made the Texas-via-Chicago duo Cross Record a Band To Watch late last year, Chris DeVille described them thus: “if Sharon Van Etten and Swans started a post-rock band.” If that’s not enough to get you interested, please consider the shadowy, surreal black-and-white video for their ominous single “Basket.” I’m not exactly sure what happens in the video, but it seems to have something to do with an ancient, mythic woman encountering various creepy-as-fuck monsters.
