Watch Mark Hoppus, Tom Morello, T-Bone Burnett, And Mumford & Sons Play Blink-182’s “What’s My Age Again?” In LA

Here’s just about the least likely combination of rock stars you’ll find on stage together: Last Thursday, a few days after Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus joined Mumford & Sons for a Eurythmics cover, the whole lot of them reconvened at the Troubadour in Los Angeles for a private KROQ show along with Americana overlord T-Bone Burnett and Rage Against The Machine guitar wizard Tom Morello. And as Reddit points out, they played a very sloppy and off-key (but undoubtedly joyous) version of Blink’s “What’s My Age Again?” together. Watch fan-made footage below, and just imagine what Burnett and Morello must have been thinking.

Watch Paul McCartney Play The Beatles’ “Another Girl” Live For The First Time

If you can believe it, no Beatle has ever played their Help! track “Another Girl” live. Until now, that is. Paul McCartney performed at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan today. It was the first time he’s played at that venue since 1966, when he was there with the full band, and he brought out their old track for its live debut. You can watch some fan video of the performance below.

Watch Noel Gallagher Play “Don’t Look Back In Anger” With A Choir At Belfast Tour Opener

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ sophomore album Chasing Yesterdays came out yesterday, and he kicked off his tour to support it in Belfast last night. Gallagher has previously hinted that he would reunite Oasis for the right amount of money (a lot), and fans got a taste of what that might be like when he performed “Don’t Look Back In Anger” backed by a choir. So even if Gallagher no longer likes the album title (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, at least we know he still likes this song — and it sounds really, really good with a choir.

Watch The Black Keys Cover Edwyn Collins’ “A Girl Like You”

Since embarking on their latest U.S. tour at the beginning of this month, the Black Keys have been covering Edwyn Collins’ early ’90s hit “A Girl Like You.” Collins’ punchy instrumentation on the orgiinal almost sounds like a proto-Black Keys production, so it didn’t take much tinkering for the group to adapt the song to their live set.

And here’s the original:

Eddie Vedder Covers “Imagine” In Case You Missed His Open Letter

After Eddie Vedder declared himself anti-war and quoted John Lennon’s “Imagine” in an open letter last week, he covered the famously anti-war song for the first time during a solo show in Portugal on Friday night. Before the song began, he said, “I think it is the most powerful song ever written. Which is why I have never played it. It seems like maybe there is a reason to play it. If you’d like join me or use your voices or hold a light there might be some people out there that need to know they are not alone.”
