Neko Case and Kelly Hogan - "These Aren't the Droids" Video (Starring Ellie Kemper)

On “These Aren’t The Droids,” a song from the comedy-and-music benefit compilation 2776, Neko Case and her longtime collaborator Kelly Hogan lamented the idea that dorked-out dudes are going to decide what the future is. And the brand-new video has fun with that idea, with Hogan dressed as Chewbacca and Case playing some kind of Princess Leia/Enterprise crewmember hybrid. Ellie Kemper, who played Erin on The Office, stars as a woman fed up with her no-good deadbeat Stormtrooper husband. Tom Gianas and the Levinson Brothers directed the video.

Watch The Simpsons’ Harlem Shake Parody

As you might know already, Baauer’s song “Harlem Shake” fueled an Internet meme last month, seeing hundreds of thousands of individuals posting YouTube videos of themselves doing random dances set to the song. It’s a cultural phenomenon for sure, but as the New York Times pointed out yesterday, the videos are not inspired by the actual Harlem shake, a dance that originated in New York City over 30 years ago. Now, the writers behind The Simpsons have picked up on meme as well. Check out “The Homer Shake” below, which sees a cast of characters from the show doing random dances set to a parody of the song. (Spoiler alert: still no actual Harlem shaking to be found.)
And in case you missed it on Videogum last month, also check out a video of Harlem residents responding to “Harlem Shake” videos.

Lloyd – “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)”

Lloyd’s “Dedication To My Ex” is a ridiculously catchy retro-soul workout which, when it appeared on his King Of Hearts album, was also one of the more gleefully raunchy tracks in recent memory. It was also an all-star affair, with a weird narrator-type intro from Lil Wayne and an excellent André 3000 verse. A cleaned-up version of the song now has a fun video from director Bryan Barber, and Wayne and André aren’t in it. Instead, for reasons that I can only begin to contemplate, Wayne Brady lip-syncs Wayne’s part, and a talking cat, with the aid of some awesomely terrible CGI, lip-syncs the André part.

Nicasso: The Wonderful

Check out this very intriguing short film by Saman Keshavarz. The video is pretty funny and has really awesome great transitions. More than halfway through the video, you'll surely be asking yourself what is really going on but we recommend you to stick 'till the end as it offers a great ending!
