Jack White headlined Saturday night at Coachella, performing songs
from across his extensive catalogue as both a solo artist and member of
the Raconteurs and the White Stripes. In a tweet last night,
Third Man Records announced that his set was dedicated to the
transgender community. White ended the 90-minute set with “Seven Nation
Army,” inaugurating the now classic White Stripes song with Rage Against
The Machine’s “Testify” intro. Watch the entire performance and check

During Drake’s headlining Coachella set last night, he brought out Madonna right after, appropriately, debuting his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late
track “Madonna” live for the first time. She launched into a nearly
set-killing medley of “Human Nature,” “Hung Up,” and her new single
“Bitch I’m Madonna” before ending her appearance with a lap dance tease
and long kiss with the rapper. The kiss felt unplanned based on
Drake’s reaction, but there’s no way to be sure. It does go to show
that, after all these years, Madge still knows how to grab headlines no
matter the cost.

Tom called Tame Impala’s second-from-headliner set “a study in head-nod
immersion,” and now you can see the whole thing for yourself thanks to
someone who has dutifully uploaded a rip of the livestream.
The band played its two new singles — “Let It Happen” and “‘Cause I’m A
Man” — for the second time ever, after a warm-up gig in Pomona earlier
this week.
Coachella, the first major event of summer festival season, is upon
us. Headliners for this weekend’s festivities include AC/DC, Jack White,
and Drake, and the lineup
includes lots of Stereogum favorites including Run The Jewels, St.
Vincent, FKA twigs, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala, Swans, and the War On
