Watch The Sad, Animated Video PETA Made For Morrissey

Morrissey has never been shy about any of his views, but he’s been an especially vocal advocate of animal rights over the past 30 years. The latest manifestation of this crusade is a PETA-produced animated video. As explained on YouTube, “The video takes viewers on a harrowing journey as they witness — through the eyes of one terrified bird — the typical experience of chickens raised for meat. Will our young chick survive what 8 billion chickens each year cannot?” In a clever bit of repurposing, the action comes soundtracked by Your Arsenal jam “I Know It’s Gonna Happen Someday.”

Coldplay's haunting classic 'The Scientist' is performed by country music legend Willie Nelson for the soundtrack of the short film entitled, "Back to the Start." The film, by film-maker Johnny Kelly, depicts the life of a farmer as he slowly turns his family farm into an industrial animal factory before seeing the errors of his ways and opting for a more sustainable future. Both the film and the soundtrack were commissioned by Chipotle to emphasize the importance of developing a sustainable food system.

Swedish House Mafia - Save The World

Now here's a truly amazing and very inspiring music video! A true homage to man's best friend! The Swedish 'Swedish House Mafia' released their official music video for the single 'Save The World'. The video clip features a gang of superhero dogs that are literally saving the world that night. Check out how these adorable pups come into action to save the individuals that have just been robbed.

The song 'Save The World' is sung by John Martin. The audio visual was directed by Jon Watts.

Clinic - I'm Aware

Rewiring their trademark hyped up sound Clinic have entered a dream state of harpsichord, dulcimers and strings. And that dream state is best visualized by means of the psychedelic puppetry in their new video for "I'm Aware", their first single off of Bubblegum.

The video was directed by Peter Fowler (the gentleman behind many of Super Furry Animals artwork and visuals).

We got to work with a really great new set of people making this animation. Andy Hague helped to build one of the neatest, most comprehensible comps I have ever seen and then I really struggled to match its excellence in the remaining shots. Cheers Andy. Being a method animator Anders Freij had to spend three weeks living as a cat in order to really connect with the feline psyche; quite justifiable if you ask me as the results are magnificently authentic. And I spent three torturous months rendering and re-rendering and putting stuff on fire. Well done me. A billion thanks to everyone involved.

Also I used Tyson Ibele's great building generator to create some of the buildings... and then rebuilt them with simpler geometry but its an ace script anyway check it out.

Kuroshio Sea

Kuroshio Sea - 2nd largest aquarium tank in the world - (song is Please don't go by Barcelona)

The main tank called the "Kuroshio Sea" holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.

This was shot using a Canon 5DMKII with a 28-135mm lens.
