Watch Pearl Jam Debut “Comfortably Numb” Cover In The Rain In Brazil

Pearl Jam have played many, many classic rock covers over the years, but one song they’ve never done as a band is Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” (Eddie Vedder has sung it with Roger Waters, but that’s it.) Last night, the band covered “Comfortably Numb” for the first time in Porto Alegre, Brazil, while rain poured down on the crowd. This was the first song of the second set of encores in what would turn out to be a 34-song set; Pearl Jam don’t fuck around. At the same show, they also covered Pink Floyd’s “Interstellar Overdrive” and Neil Young’s “Fuckin’ Up.” Watch a fan-made video of the “Comfortably Numb” cover.

Watch Paul McCartney Play The Beatles’ “Another Girl” Live For The First Time

If you can believe it, no Beatle has ever played their Help! track “Another Girl” live. Until now, that is. Paul McCartney performed at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan today. It was the first time he’s played at that venue since 1966, when he was there with the full band, and he brought out their old track for its live debut. You can watch some fan video of the performance below.

Watch Faith No More Debut “Sol Invictus” & “From The Dead” In Vancouver

Faith No More’s comeback tour rolled into Vancouver last night, and the Canucks were rewarded with the debut of two new songs. “Sol Invictus,” the title track from their new album, is a slow-burner that builds and builds without ever quite boiling over, while “From The Dead” is, surprisingly, a jangly acoustic number. Watch fan-made video of both songs below.

Watch David Byrne Cover Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend” To Make A Point About Royalties

Cake frontman John McCrea is one of the many artists railing against streaming services like Spotify and the way they only pay a pittance in royalties to artists. He’s put together a nonprofit called Content Creators Coalition, and last night, David Byrne headlined a CCC concert at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge; it also featured McRea, R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, Tift Merritt, and a few others. I have no idea how this led to Byrne doing an incredibly still and joyous cover of Biz Markie’s eternally wonderful atonal yawp “Just A Friend,” but that’s what happened. Byrne read the lyrics from a piece of paper but only lost the cadence once, and you can watch the miraculous fan-made video.

Star Wars Fan Made Short

Apparently working by himself, Otaking77077 created this inspired animated short that shows us the people behind the masks of The Empire. The original version had no audio, so YouTuber SuperMulciber added Sleigh Bells “Born,” which works surprisingly well.
