Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Trent Reznor - "Mantra" (Sound City)

Music created for the film, Sound City. http://soundcitymovie.com
From the album Sound City - Real to Reel.

Dave Grohl had a blast directing his documentary Sound City and performing with his Sound City Players ensemble – but in this exclusive video, the rocker gets serious while writing and recording "Mantra" at his Studio 606 space. Grohl takes control on the drums, starting off focused and somber and unleashing his headbanging fury as the track builds steam. Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme provides the driving bassline while Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor creates a swirling vertigo of piano. The trio's chemistry is impeccable as they journey through the almost eight-minute track without a word.

VOLTRON: The End - (Live action short)

VOLTRON: The End - (Live action short directed by Alex Albrecht)

When a man regains consciousness in a Voltron battle lion after an "accident" he has to decide does he live a few more minutes or try to tell the world what happened... the end is only the beginning.

---

Yes.

Let it be done.

It is time for Voltron, the Defender of the Far Universe, to return to the screen. Hollywood: our supply of romantic comedies is quite adequate, thank you very much. Now devote your efforts to this noble cause. Spare no expense.

Weetabix - "Dancer"

A cute, little girl takes a bite of her Weetabix breakfast. That’s the usual cue to dive into the bowl for a cereal-inspired world of animation for twenty seconds before zooming out to a smiling family and an endtag.

How about, instead, the girl gets out of her chair and takes us on an acid trip dance party with rimlit breaking bears. Yes?

Who is having more fun than DANIELS? No one.

We made a commercial for Weetabix Chocolate Spoonsize.

Starring the amazing Arizona Snow. And some bears.

Dir: DANIELS
Agency: BBH London
Prod Co: PrettyBird

Song: "A New World" By Mord Fustang

Opeth - "The Devil's Orchard"

Imagine if Dario Argento’s ’70s horror movies had weird half-animated opening-credits sequences with girls’ silhouettes in them, the way James Bond movies do. That’s pretty much Opeth’s new “The Devil’s Orchard” video, except this one is seven minutes long. In super-stylized fake-grainy images, we see cities falling under curses and bodies falling through dimensional portals, or something. Phil Mucci directs.

starring Keleigh Sperry as Soledad
Ian Mackay as The Devil / Baron Orlock
Anni Blackhurst as Mistress Shadow
Christian Bonello as Phantom

The Killing Joke

A Short Film by Sebastian Lopez

The Killing Joke is a 15 minute suspense/fiction short film about a mysterious woman that finds a red balloon tied up to a curious little box on an eery derelict street. Using classic elements of suspense and working within a seventies aesthetic, 'The Killing Joke' is an action packed film that pays homage to some of the horror movies from that era.

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Directs Short Film

Thomas Bangalter, one half of Daft Punk, has directed and done cinematography for a three-minute short film that serves as a sort of advertisement for the new collection from the fashion line Co. The film stars Élodie Bouchez, Bangalter’s actress wife. She plays a woman taking care of a sick man, and lots of weird stuff happens. Also, she cries. The soundtrack is all operatic and not-at-all robot-rockish. But it has to be said: Everyone looks very nice!

Kid Cudi – “Mr. Rager”

In the video for his brooding anthem “Mr. Rager,” Kid Cudi battles a comically huge mob of weapon-wielding miscreants. The fighting itself is dimly lit and badly choreographed, the two surprise endings are both lame, and Cudi himself does not exactly make the world’s most believable badass street-fighter. Still, anything that brings to mind memories of this might well be worth seven minutes of your time. Surface To Air’s Jeremy Rozan directs.

Kate Moss drums with The Vaccines then gets naked - video

A short film showing Kate Moss drumming along with The Vaccines before getting naked has gone online to promote Rimmel make up. Scroll down to watch the video.

The four-minute clip shows Moss entering Spring Studios in north London and going to a studio in which The Vaccines are playing their single 'If You Wanna'. The model then picks up a Union Jack guitar and, grinning, attempts to play along with the band before sitting in the drum stool and trying her hand at some percussion.

Leaving the studio, she strips off to just her knickers and high heels and then puts on a red dress and poses for a photo shoot in her own studio, before racing to the roof and leaving in a helicopter. As you do.

Kate Moss and her husband, Jamie Hince of The Kills, were both in attendance at Mark Ronson and Josephine de la Baume’s wedding in the south of France last weekend.

The couple tied the knot in Aix en Provence, and guests at the two-day ceremony also included Lily Allen.
