Torres - “Strange Hellos” (Official Video)

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Torres will release her new album, Sprinter, in May, and we heard the record’s seething first single, “Strange Hellos,” at the beginning of this year. Today, Torres released the Casey Pierce-directed video for the song, and it’s a stunning accompaniment. Torres barely breaks eye contact with the camera as she sings, and at a certain point she’s flanked by two ghoulish figures in chains. It’s a subtle exploration of cultish imagery, but its magnetism depends solely on Torres’ fervent performance.
