My Bloody Valentine’s iconic frontman Kevin Shields guested on Le Volume Courbe’s “The House,”
and though his woozy, swirling atmospherics are all over the song, he
doesn’t seem to show up in the accompanying video. But French-born
Charlotte Marionneau who masterminds Le Volume Courbe, has her hands
full already with a darkly-clad stalker who follows her everywhere. In
the meantime, she also gets to cuddle a huge, adorable bunny, which is a
fair toss-up in my book. It’s the kind of cute-paranoid aesthetic that
Wes Anderson loves to deal in, but this video was directed by Philip
Smiley.
