U2 - “Song for Someone” Video (Feat. Woody Harrelson)

U2 debuted a short film/music video for their Songs Of Innocence track “Song For Someone” last night during SundanceTV’s season premiere of Rectify, which is one of those shows I keep hearing is really great but never get around to watching. It stars Woody Harrelson (and his daughter Zoe) as a man who is let out of prison, and we follow him as he gets processed out and meets his daughter outside. It ties in thematically with Rectify itself, mostly because that’s exactly what the premise of that show is! It was directed by Vincent Haycock.
