Back in May, underground Washington, D.C. rapper/producer Oddisee released his excellent (and underrated) new LP The Good Fight, a warm, kinetic swirl of jazz, soul, and hip-hop. Now we’re getting a video for early track “Belong To The World,”
a fiercely individualistic outsider anthem about finding a sense of
belonging within that otherness. Director Zachary Kashkett follows that
theme, punctuating gorgeous, isolated shots of Oddisee with small
moments of human and musical connection.
