Holychild’s glossy brand of self-described brat pop feels tailor-made
for music videos, so it’s not a surprise that all of the visuals for
their songs so far have been strong. Their latest is for The Shape Of Brat Pop To Come closing track “U Make Me Sick,” and it continues the trend as Liz Nistico and Louie Diller play dress-up and act in love.
“[The song’s about] the concept of a fucked up love, and the really
high highs and really low lows that exist within that. I wanted to
capture that with the music video, so when you see us at some points
it’s kind of void of emotion, at other points goofy and fun, and then
super loving when we’re in the car, as if nothing else matters,” Nistico
explained to V Magazine.
“When it’s good, it’s so good and it’s always been good. When it’s bad,
it’s so bad and it’s always been bad. I wanted to show those extremes.”
