Boosie Badazz’s new album Touch Down 2 Cause Hell,
the first album he released after serving a lengthy prison sentence, is
a triumph in a lot of ways, but it ends on a note of regret. “I’m
Sorry,” the song Boosie chose to end the album, is a mea culpa, with
Boosie apologizing to all the people he let down by spending all those
years locked up — his kids, his dead friends, his fans. The song’s new
video, directed by Motion Family,
finds Boosie in an empty ornate theater, talking directly to his kids
and contemplating the people who aren’t there. It’s a moving piece of
work.
