The first trailer for the Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, has been released. The film was directed by Asif Kapadia, who won the BAFTA for 2010’s Senna,
and will be made up primarily of unreleased archival footage. The
trailer shows off some of that footage, incorporating a heartbreaking
quote where Winehouse says in an interview, “I don’t think I’m gonna be
at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I’d probably go mad.”
The film will be released close to four years after Winehouse’s death:
7/3 in the UK and sometime in the summer in the US.
