Mercury Rev, veterans in the field of majestic canyon-spanning psychedelia, are mere weeks away from releasing The Light In You, their first album since 2008. The newly-unveiled video for their single “Are You Ready?” shows us a girl basically experiencing all the things that the band sings about on the song. She’s drifting aimlessly through a nameless city, losing herself in the music she’s hearing. And the video itself does everything it can to reflect that mindstate.
