Made Of Oak - “Pinebender” (Official Video)

Made Of Oak is Nick Sanborn’s post-Sylvan Esso solo project, and he teased his debut EP, Penumbra, back in August. Today he shares the video for Penumbra song “Pindebender.” The crisp production that made Sylvan Esso stand out is evident here, but it’s weighted down by more bass and a deeper exploration of squiggly synth-mania. Sans Amelia Meath, Sanborn turns the instruments themselves into voices, telling a jagged call-and-response story.
