Jazz Cartier’s glittering, gruesome mixtape Marauding In Paradise
is still one of my most heavily-played releases this year, and today
he’s dropped something new to keep us interested. “Always Up To
Something” isn’t on the tape but it has all the same woozy longing. The
video follows a girl’s journey through a snow-bound landscape to a dim,
red-lit club where the Toronto rapper is sorting through his feelings.
At the club, Jazz is both performing and part of the crowd, a move that
mimics how he probably feels during the swift come up he’s on this year.
Watch the Jon Riera-directed video.
