Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff prequel
starring the always-great Bob Odenkirk as shady criminal lawyer Saul
Goodman, is still a few months away from its premiere date in February.
Last night, in the midst of a Breaking Bad marathon, AMC
debuted another teaser clip, this time in the form of a music video.
Performed by country singer Junior Brown on his trademark double-necked
“guit-steel” hybrid guitar, written by Breaking Bad composer
Dave Porter and Adam Dornblum, and with lyrics penned by show creators
Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the song details a number of scenarios
in which one might indeed want to, yes, call Saul. These include getting
behind the wheel after drinking three Long Island Iced Teas, sticking a
George Foreman grill down your pants, and possibly murdering your
husband. The video also sneaks in a few snippets of actual footage from
the show, although, as expected, they reveal pretty much nothing.
