“Black Moon Spell” is the ass-kicking title track from King Tuff’s ass-kicking new album (Stream) ,
so it goes without saying the song needs a pretty ass-kicking video.
King Tuff has definitely gotten that with this new clip, directed by
Jared Eberhardt, which flows like a surreal parade of every awesome bit
of gothic rock-and-roll imagery conjured by the music. Filled with amps,
snakes, witches, and beer chugging, everything flows at you in a
collage that sort of reminds me of the White Stripes’ video for “Seven Nation Army.”
While that video pushes toward you, though, Tuff’s video crawls from
top to bottom like the credits to an especially fun horror movie.
