Föllakzoid - “Electric” (Official Video)

Chilean psych rockers Föllakzoid dropped the ruminant single “Electric” off their upcoming album III a little over a month ago. The track sits in a homeostatic place: never quite hitting a crescendo, but not leaving the ear completely unstimulated. The visuals have that same effect on the eye, as directors Domingo Garcia-Huidobro and Ion Rakhmatulina explore the many textures of light and smoke in black and white. Similar to the track’s sparse vocals, the band only briskly appears in the entire 12 minutes as silhouettes while bright light and sheer darkness take turns engulfing them. The clip is not the weirdest you will see, but it’s avant-garde to say the least.
