All We Are are based out of Liverpool, but the trio’s members hail
from Brazil, Norway and Ireland, a fact that has helped them shape an
incredibly fresh sound they’ve dubbed “psychedelic boogie.” Today
they’ve debuted the video for “Utmost Good” from their self-titled debut
album, a song about giving someone your all and coping with their blind
ungratefulness while you’re stretched to your limit. In the clip the
trio are bombarded with walls of TVs, and their faces flicker in and out
with those of strangers. My favorite part is that even though this is a
sad song about defeat, All We Are cannot stop gleefully grooving
throughout. If only failure could always be this carefree.
