Sometimes all you need for a beautiful music video is a stack of
tinted paper floating through a pool as gentle light shifts over the
ripples. Or at least that’s how avant-garde filmmaker/photographer
Jennifer Juniper Stratford interpreted “Stacks on Stacks”, the ethereal
track from Bouquet’s forthcoming In A Dream EP. The video carries
Stratford’s hazy VHS watermark (pun intended), but it’s a slower and
subtler treatment than her collaborations with John Maus and Ariel Pink.
Combined with that glowing, angelic vocal from Carolyn Pennypacker
Riggs, the video actually feels like a slow dip into warm water.
