Into the January wasteland, the New York punks Big Ups released Eighteen Seconds Of Static a bracing debut album that didn’t get anywhere near the attention it deserved. They’ve just made a video for the album track “Justice,” and it’s an intense piece of work. It’s a stylized, gruesome clip about a reporter attempting to investigate a corrupt businessman, and it has some unintended extra weight thanks to the fuck shit we’re seeing in the news today, the hamfisted attempts to silence journalists in Missouri.
