Long Beard’s Sleepwalker is a subtly devastating debut because it’s not easily classified as “sad music.” Leslie Bear’s voice is certifiably breathy, weaving itself in and out of distinct layers of atmospheric instrumentation, and Sleepwalker’s appeal lies in the fact that it could be background music, or it could soundtrack the moments after a mental breakdown.
