Stars - “Trap Door” (Official Video)

Stars have released a meta-commentary on the way that music videos and singles are chosen these days by prefacing the new video for “Trap Door” with the thought process that eventually spurred the visual’s creation. It boils down to one thing: radio airplay. So here is director Anthony Von Seck’s video for “Trap Door,” one of the songs off the Canadian synthpop group’s seventh album No One Is Lost that is making it onto the airwaves. After the initial peek behind the curtain, it’s mostly just black-and-white footage of the band playing the song cut out with shots of the crowd reacting.
