Sam Prekop is typically referenced as the lead vocalist of Chicago
post-rock OGs the Sea And Cake, but he’s also well-known for the three
solo albums he’s released since the late ’90s. “Weather Vane” is the ambient single off of Prekop’s fourth LP, The Republic,
which dropped today along with this black and white video of urban
landscapes. Prekop composed music for the artist David Hartt’s 2014
project also entitled “The Republic,” and this video contains footage
from the installation.
