Will Butler - “Anna” (Official Video)

Arcade Fire member Will Butler’s solo record Policy is shaping up to be mighty intriguing. Lead single “Take My Side” was a wiry blast of garage rock, a sound Butler veers far away from on the album’s second single. “Anna” is a propulsive new wave track laden with horns, synths, a striking piano figure, and an eminently danceable groove that Butler absolutely takes advantage of in the video. It’s a single unbroken shot of him shaking his body in a suit and tie, pimped out with a few minimal visual effects. Combined with the song, which is great, it makes for one of the most memorable videos of the year so far.
