Pond - “Zond” (Official Video)

Pond’s new album Man It Feels Like Space Again is coming soon, and today the Perth psych-rockers released an immensely goofy video from it. The title “Zond” itself suggests a slightly tweaked version of Pond, and indeed it’s one of the group’s zaniest-sounding tracks to date, with a video to match from director Johnny Mackay. A frantic new-wave funk tune spiked with guitar lacerations is paired with wildly colorful oddball visions that make grand use of basic video effects, costumes, and inflatable objects.
