The cyclical heartland guitar anthem “Latin American Ficciones” was our first taste of Walkmen member Peter Matthew Bauer’s upcoming solo debut Liberation! Today that song becomes the album’s first video, too. Like the music itself, Matthew Barrick’s shadowy greyscale performance footage is a natural extension of the ragged-yet-refined aesthetic Bauer helped develop with the Walkmen. It’s a good way to familiarize yourself with the face behind the music.
