At the moment, Glass Candy/Chromatics mastermind Johnny Jewel is the
driving force for a whole mob of eerily retro Italo-disco projects, many
of whom will contribute to the forthcoming comp After Dark 2. We’ve already seen Chromatics’ video for the After Dark 2 track “Looking For Love,”
and now Desire, Jewel’s duo with singer Megan Louise, have shared their
video for the compilation track “Tears From Heaven,” which I assure you
is not an Eric Clapton cover. (That would be “Tears In
Heaven,” but I think I can be forgiven for momentary panic there.) The
song brings all of Jewel’s trademark sensory faraway bump, and frequent
collaborator Alberto Rossini directed the grainy video.
