Pepsi presents their latest television commercial titled "Music Icons," celebrating Pepsi's music history, which includes the likes of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Kanye West, Ray Charles and Mariah Carey. In accordance with its slogan, "Where there's Pepsi, there's music", the spot reflects on memorable moments such as Michael Jackson introducing the new "Pepsi Generation" and Ray Charles playing the piano to the (Prince-penned) tune of "You Got the Right One, Baby, Uh Huh" and more. "Music Icons" debuted during last night's "X Factor" premiere. Frank Cooper, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Consumer Engagement of PepsiCo Beverages, explains:
"Pepsi has always been at the center of music and pop culture and is known for featuring top talent in its campaigns. We're confident that the next pop music star will emerge from our partnership with 'The X Factor.'"
As the musical background serves a Pepsi-exclusive remix of the song, "Tonight is the Night" by Yonkers' very own Outasight, who recently signed to Warner Bros. Records.
