On last year’s album It’s Album Time, Norwegian producer
Todd Terje brought in Bryan Ferry, the former Roxy Music frontman and
current avatar of old-world rock-star cool, to sing on a synthy,
melancholic cover of Robert Palmer’s “Johnny And Mary.” Now director Brantley Gutierrez
has made a stately black-and-white video for the Terje/Ferry version of
the song. It’s got the British model Eliza Cummings swanning through
the iconic L.A. locations Chateau Marmont and Wolf’s Lair, and it’s got
Ferry staring out into space and looking much slicker than you.
