Omar Souleyman has collaborated with a number of major producers, but his biggest success came in the form of 2013’s Wenu Wenu,
which the Syrian musician co-produced with Four Tet. The last we heard
from Souleyman was back in March, when he dropped the
Modeselektor-produced single “Enssa El Ataab,” but today he’s back with a new Four Tet collaboration, the title track of his forthcoming album, Bahdeni Nami.
This new love song is an excellent reminder of how Souleyman’s
inventive dance music took the artist from being a local party and
wedding performer to mainstream major festival mainstay. The
accompanying video was shot between Gaziantemp and Saliurfa in Turkey.
