Sweet Apple - “Reunion” (Feat. Robert Pollard) Video

Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis leads the riff-rock side project Sweet Apple, but the band’s namesake is Dave Sweetapple, the Witch member who also plays in Sweet Apple. He’s the star of the band’s new Halloween-themed video for “Reunion,” a triumphant track that features fellow indie legend Robert Pollard. (It’s on The Golden Age Of Glitter, the album that Sweet Apple released earlier this year.) Sweetapple plays a skateboarding, candy-thieving warlock who somehow survived the Salem Witch Trials but who doesn’t fare so well in his war against a gang of resourceful neighborhood children. Fellow band member John Petkovic, a former Cobra Vere member, directed the seriously adorable, lovably amateurish video.
