Bohemian Thought- Revolution Within

Wellington based spoken word artist Bohemian Thought releases the second single, ‘Revolution Within’ from his forthcoming debut full length album ‘Magnificent Dyslexic’.

Through his music Bohemian Thought aims to inspire understanding and acceptance and this second single ‘Revolution Within’ certainly holds true to that mantra. Featuring the beautifully haunting strings of London’s Urban Soul Orchestra and the lovely Lisa Tomlins, Bohemian speaks out against ignorance and indifference and calls upon the individual to reach within to bring about change and peace.

“Revolution Within’ was partly inspired by the Last Poets and Gil Scott Heron and in response to the classic track 'The Revolution Shall Not Be Televised'. This track talks about finding freedom from the man but to find freedom from the man we have to find the freedom within - a conscious revolution. ” says Bohemian

A spoken word poet, singer, songwriter and percussionist (aka poetic philosopher) Bohemian connected with the local Wellington soul, funk, jazz and reggae scenes. After stints spent jamming with Batucada, Sam Manzanza & the Rhythm Africa Band and Olmecha Supreme, Bohemian Thought arrived at a space to develop his own songs with the assistance of Auckland producer Brofessional, The Urban Soul Orchestra (UK), studio engineer Benny Tones and a host of accomplished local musicians.
