Composer to the indie stars (and solo artist in his own right) Owen Pallett is now composing for the Hollywood set. In a new series of minute-long, black-and-white videos from The New York Times Magazine, lauded actors including James Franco, Natalie Portman, Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Michael Douglas, Jesse Eisenberg, and Robert Duvall recreate famous screen types and scenes against a white backdrop. Pallett composed old-school-score music for each one; the string pieces were played by the Czech FILMharmonic Orchestra.
