This video was made by Steffen Bygebjerg in 2009 for the song "End Scene". The track is taken from Troels Abrahamsen's album WHT also from 2009.
The animation work was made in Adobe After Effects. Each frame was then printed and the print was subsequently scanned back into the computer. The scanned frames were then assembled back into the original animation, now with a new rugged look, created by the visit in the physical analogue world. No effects added after scanning.

This film 'Yellow' by Neill Blomkamp illustrates what happens when a thinking machine integrates with society.

For The first single "machine gun" from the long awaited NOISIA album "split the atom", we made this music video.
An abstract telling of mankind and it's self destructiveness, loosely based on the tale of Frankenstein's monster, which is exactly what a machine gun is.
spyfilms.com - Nuit Blanche explores a fleeting moment between two strangers, revealing their brief connection in a hyper real fantasy. Watch the "Making of" here - vimeo.com/9076775
Couple years ago, it seemed everyone and their mother was shooting with a Phantom camera, capturing life’s minutiae in ultra slow-motion. While the results were often beautiful, without any genuine motivation, the practice felt empty. And so it passed.
But when slow motion cinematography has a point—ah, that’s something different, isn’t it?
I submit exhibit A, “Nuit Blance,” a short film directed by Spy Films‘ Arev Manoukian. Set in a film noir Paris, the film captures a surprisingly violent moment of connection between two strangers attracted to each other with such magnetism that neither panes of glass nor speeding vehicles can keep them apart.
The entire film is told in slow-motion, with sculptural explosions of glass and water enshrining the two would-be lovers like heavenly gossamer. The elongated seconds echo the longing each character feels for the other, and time itself seems to be an expression of their aching desires.

TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR GEEKS LIKE US: We changed shirts over 100 times each, taking individual pictures of each unique shirt. The designs on the shirts are not photoshopped. They are real shirts for each frame of animation. The video was exported at 30fps, while the T-shirt animation moves at 6fps (with a few exceptions where it moves faster) So, for each shirt, we took 5 pictures, so the animation of us (Rhett&Link) moves at 30fps, but the T-shirt animations move a bit slower. There are a few places where the motion seems so smooth that it looks like video. That's because, in those parts, there was no changing in T-shirts, and Joe used burst mode to capture the frames, making it look very smooth.

I recently bought me the MP-E 65mm and played with it a little bit. It's a very special lens and you need a little bit of patience, but the results are breathtaking.
I'm looking forward to new adventures in the macro universe..
